Social security and foundations - non profit

In this study, the role of foundations in the Social Security System of the Ottoman Empire has been introduced.

Through services of the foundations in the Ottoman Empire, the poor, the unemployed, the disabled etc. had little difficulty if any in living standards. As well as the poor, students, teachers, scholars and scientists used to benefit from the services and aids of the foundations in the Ottoman Empire.

The foundations in the Ottoman Empire had an important role in taking part in special programs and activities such services as education, training people, health, youth relationships etc. Some of them have been introduced in this study.

Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nda Vakıfların Hizmetleri ,

Bu çalışmada, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun Sosyal Güvenlik Sistemi’nde vakıfların rolü sunulmuştur.

Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’ndaki vakıfların hizmetleriyle fakirler, işsizler, sakatlar vb. hayat standardı açısından pek fazla sıkıntı çekmemişlerdir. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nda, fakirlerin yanı sıra, öğrenciler, öğretmenler, bilginler, bilim adamları da vakıfların sunduğu hizmet ve yardımlardan faydalanırdı.

Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nda vakıflar, eğitim, terbiye, sağlık ve gençlik ilişkileri ile ilgili hizmetlere katılımda önemli rollere sahipti. Onlardan bazıları bu çalışmada sunulmuştur.
